It sure is funny how things work out; just about two weeks after starting this page and after years of hearing rumors about where these lures were found and by whom from other collectors; it looks like the mystery may be solved. While doing a Fishing Flea Market today, I had long time fisherman and charter boat captain Jerry Beaver set up near me. Jerry had four of these lures for sale at his table; being a collector, I just had to ask if he was the one who had the large find of these lures.
Jerry went on to tell me that indeed he was the one who found the baits; and that he found them in Sea Bright, N.J at a bait & tackle shop that had closed in the 1960's; the name of the shop was "Parmley's". It seems Mr. Parmley was also a lure maker, who advertised his lures in many of the fishing magazines of the time.
Given the fact that such a large amount of lures were found at Parmley's and that he was a lure maker; one would have to conclude that he was indeed the maker. Jerry is 99.9% sure he was; and right now he has me convinced; end of the story????

"Who Made It????"

On this page I will show you some saltwater lures that I need to identify. Yes, I need help at times myself; it wouldn't be such an interesting and rewarding hobby if you knew everything; now would it?
If any of the visitors to my website has a saltwater lure that I can't identify for them; I will post the picture here and maybe someone else will be able to help. There are many knowledgeable fishermen and collector's passing through these pages.
So send in your photo's no matter what condition the lure is in; just make sure the picture is clear with an uncluttered background.
